One day I discovered I had died, oil on canvas 60x60 cm, 2021

This painting ironically faces the issue of death, in fact the artwork has a nail which passes through the young woman’s left eye. The canvas is literally skewered by nail, instead of being simply hung, so it is halfway between a classic oil painting and an installation. Furthermore, the woman is depicted on a light background so that the colours, in particular the red of her blood, easily stands out. The final objective is to stun or even to shock any spectator of the artwork.
