Photography: Ko-Ta Shouji Styling: Chie Ninomiya Hair: Sho Tanaka Make-up: YOSHi.T Model: AmiAya (Ami + Aya) It is about anonymity. The mask hides the face and masks the occasion at times. There are also things that emerge by masking. It is a so-called signature. So this time the model has appointed AmiAya which is becoming an icon in Japan and around the world. They are popular expressionists with the same face on twins and same hairstyle with the same makeup and very iconic thing. A symbol called a piece to be seen by covering their face, which is a so-called icon, with a mask. Who Are You?

Photographer: Simon Baungaard Styling: Denis Bjerregaard Hair: Sabina Simmelha Makeup: Stine Rasmussen Model: Pia Priewe at Le Management THE TIDE TURNS was conceived as a project on a beautiful fall evening. The sun was setting, casting a warm light on the boatyard sheds. The vessels had been hauled ashore and warped for the winter ahead. Soon everything would be grey, cold and wet. Summer, and sailing the ocean, would seem so far away. But right at this moment, everything seemed more warm and beautiful than ever. How do I turn this into a story, I asked myself? How do I get this atmosphere into a fashion story? Who is the person with the boat? How will this person spend the winter, when not on the sea? What would be an interesting character in this setting? I like taking inspiration from a scene or situation and work out an imaginative surrounding story. When shooting, this story evolves as the shoot progresses. I get to crossroads in the storyline and have to work out the characters next move, or the changes of the setting. What makes sense for the story? How do I find the balance between telling my version of the story, but still leave it open to interpretation for the viewer? This is my motivation for taking pictures. Fashion stories provide the canvas for my imaginative stories and bring them to life. Open to interpretation for others. THE TIDE TURNS

It’s about renewal and expressing who you are. The fashion industry is one of the biggest industries in this world and with my pictures I not only try to create something beautiful, but I also want to make statements and therefore reach a lot of people. And that’s exactly what I tried to do with this series, that I call Birds. The name is inspired by the worldly famous 1963 horror-thriller movie The Birds, directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The Birds is about un unexplained violent bird attack on the people of Bodega Bay, California over the course of a few days. Where one bird can do no harm, they can be dangerous when together in a large group. The villagers are forced to unite to defend themselves agains a bird attack and ultimately drive them away. The movie was inspired by a real-life event, when residents of Capitola in California awoke one August morning in 1961 to find sooty shearwaters slamming into their rooftops and their streets covered with dead birds. Although it’s a classic film, I’ve never seen it before. Until about two years ago, when the stylist and good friend Richard, who also had a big role in this production, demanded me to watch it. That was also the year when The Birds deemed ‘culturally, historically and aesthetically significant’ by the United States Library of Congress, and selected for preservation in its National Film Registry. There’s one scene that is known to be iconic and I dedicated eight images to this particular scene, translating my vision into this modern world. In this scene, Melanie and Mitch Brenner (played by Tippi Hedren and Rod Taylor), seek refuge inside the family home of the Brenners when it’s being attacked by waves of birds that nearly breach barricaded doors and windows. They violently attack Melanie, trapping here in the room until Mitch rescues her. Birds
