Everything Starts in Our Brain
“Everything starts in our brain, creating reality as we perceive it for ourselves” I would like to quote David Altmejd who says the head is the beginning and end of our universe. Everything Starts in Our Brain

Money Money, oil on canvas 70x100, 2021
This year has inevitably divided us, we were not allowed to leave our city and this situation meant that we couldn’t even see our family members, our fiancé or our closest friends. Many people have even lost their job. This painting examines the economic crisis which the pandemic has caused. If we consider that 144 million people have lost their job in the world and above all women have suffered the most. It’s obvious that here we see a woman who represents the 98% of those who are now unemployed. She has a sad expression and her face is pale and tired. Finally some coins are falling from above without her been able to grab them. On the other hand she’s wearing some beautiful clothes, a symbol of something she has lost. The Covid has made everyone poorer, a situation which we must all overcome. Money Money, oil on canvas 70x100, 2021

Bubbles, oil on canvas 50x50 cm, 2020
In the work ‘The Forgotten Language: An introduction to the Understanding of Dreams, Fairy Tales and Myths’ written by Erich Fromm proposes an introduction to the understanding of symbolic language in a general way, and an interpretation of dreams by Freud, through the aspects of symbolic language. This painting inspires to this essay and investigates into man’s vulnerability, to be daily concerned by doubts and to be often perplexed. The proposed subject shows two circles instead of eyes, to indicate the way it faces its world, which is not always wise but blurred. Bubbles, oil on canvas 50x50 cm, 2020

Catherine's wheel, oil on canvas 60x60
As the pinwheel has always been the symbol of something in constant movement that mesmerizes who observes and easily catches his attention, here it also represents the reaction of a girl who has constantly been bombarded by information. If we think that during the last months we have been bombarded with a lot of news about Covid-19, perhaps we can ask ourselves even if all of this information has been harmful for us. It is a visionary work about a very young girl that is hypnotized by all the media that has hit us every day and has sometimes caused confusion. Catherine's wheel, oil on canvas 60x60
