maet - Under Construction Collection
“Under Construction” was inspired by designing the new Mæt studio located in Tirana, Albania. During the renovations, I was moved by the different shapes, patterns, and details I was seeing in the architecture of my future space. Architecture has always spoken to me as a creative because of the lineage work that can exist in the space. So many beautiful changes can take place from the begging to the end of a project, which is where I believe fashion and architecture come to a head. After watching the space transform, I felt urged to signify this change in my sketchbook. I drew the movement I saw and I was encapsulated by the simplicity, yet the uniqueness of the use of lines. I instantly knew that basing my first collection after the construction of my new creative space was the right move. It took hard work and dedication to get to where I am and I am overjoyed that that could be represented in my first collection. It was not easy branching off on my own, but I could not be happier with where I am and where I have come from. I hope that when viewing and wearing my pieces, women feel a sense of freedom. Free to be who they are and work towards the goals and passions that matter most in their lives. While some of these ideas might seem far-fetched to others, or even still “Under Construction”, no task is too big with a determined heart and a joyous soul! maet - Under Construction Collection

SEA CREATURES
When I discovered Paola Idrontino's personal universe, I was fascinated by her tremendous creativity and enormous visual impact of each of her textile pieces. Paola is a designer who has great power to create impressive pieces. Her references to organic forms, in particular the living organisms of the sea, are very interesting. I made her the proposal to do a photographic shooting outdoors, next to the seashore reinforcing this way that bond between us human beings and the origin of all the living forms that populate the earth: we all came from the sea, and the sea is the source and origin of all life. Sea Creatures is a shooting where we even add references from the classical world of mythology, such as the Birth of Venus by the Italian painter Boticelli. In the purely technical aspects of this shooting, I used a technique well known to photographers: Overpowering the sun. Using this technique, we can shoot outdoors, in broad daylight and still add dramatic points of light to reinforce the visual impact. SEA CREATURES

SS 21 "The wind is blowing"
The SS 21 collection is called "The Wind Is Blowing". It contains sound, movement, contact of worlds. When the wind blows, waving chiy moriin on the branches, prayers are recited. Prayers connect the world of people, the world of nature and the world of spirits / deities together, there is harmony, the unity of everything. I remember this wonderful rite from childhood and now we also go to the datsan every year to tie the khiymorin in the right direction of the wind. When developing the concept of the collection, I used elements of culture that were important to me. For example, the shape of a horn. I assemble this shape from pieces of fabric and use it as a module for subsequent experiments with deconstruction. The cutting of the national costume of many peoples is based on the principle of waste-free production. Today, this important idea of ecology and respect for nature and the world is once again becoming relevant. And this is very inspiring. In the collection, some of the items are constructed from cutouts from patterns - fabric cuts that remain after production. programmed_society
Esra Copur’s project PROGRAMMED_SOCIETY is a comment on the current zeitgeist, where humans are stuck in an endless repetition of living. “I portray people as programmed individuals who buy items by way of routine, rather than out of necessity. I experimented with repetitions of familiair archetypal garments, such as the the white T-shirt and the outdoor jacket. By literally connecting people to clothing racks, I leave them drowning in their own repetitions.” The futuristic looks of the collection, emphasized by her choice for synthetic fabrics, carries a dystopian message of mindless consumption inspired by Dadaïst artist Raoul Hausmann who said of his work Mechanical Head: “Man has no more capabilities than those which chance has glued on the outside of his skull; his brain remains empty.” That was a century ago. programmed_society

Graduation Collection | SCARCITY PRINCIPLE
Scarcity affects humans. From love life to historical events, and till modern marketing strategy. Start from inspiration to find an alternative to deal with problematic fast fashion. In scientific research stated that the less an object available the more that people find it attractive. This can explain why we are always lured by mysterious people or limited edition in stores. During the 18th and 19th century, fabric resource was limited. People use trims, embroidery and multifunctionality to maximise garment usage, which the mindset is neglected nowadays. This collection is not really about visual but on a psychological perspective.
